107Preventive Health Integrative Anticipatory Guidance

Preventive care and anticipatory guidance are cornerstones of pediatric practice but incorporation of evidence-based integrative medicine practices are not emphasized in medical education. This course includes Immunization Controversies and Priorities, Maternal Health and Lifestyle, Newborn and Integrative Health, Toddler and Preschooler Integrative Health, School-Aged Child and Integrative Health, Resources and Intake Forms.

Outcome Objectives

  • Identify pediatric patients that could potentially benefit from integrative medicine anticipatory guidance approaches.
  • Determine which medical conditions have robust supporting evidence for the use of prevention focused integrative anticipatory guidance based treatment options in children.
  • Teach clinicians how to better educate parents about preventive health based integrative anticipatory guidance medicine treatment options for their children.
