Whole Medical Systems

Whole Medical Systems such as (Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine) are widely used yet receive little emphasis in medical education, especially for the pediatric population

This course will help to close this knowledge gap and assist health care professionals in understanding how, when and what types of whole medical systems approaches and interventions might be used in conjunction with conventional therapies to enhance pediatric care.

Outcome Objectives

  • Identify pediatric patients that could potentially benefit from integrative medicine whole medicine-focused treatment options.
  • Determine which medical conditions have robust supporting evidence for the use of whole medicine-based integrative medicine treatment options in children.
  • Teach clinicians how to better educate parents about whole systems-based integrative medicine treatment options for their children.
