203: Whole Medical Systems
This course is designed to assist health care professionals in understanding how, when and what types of whole medical systems might be used in conjunction with conventional therapies to enhance pediatric care throughout the range of pediatric ages and developmental stages. Whole Medical Systems such as (Homeopathy, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine) are widely used yet receive little emphasis in medical education, especially for the pediatric population
This course will help to close this knowledge gap and assist health care professionals in understanding how, when and what types of whole medical systems approaches and interventions might be used in conjunction with conventional therapies to enhance pediatric care. This is important because an accruing number of effective, non-pharmaceutical whole medicine therapies are available for children yet not widely known or taught to clinicians.
